I have always loved gardening and working outdoors, and have been an avid allotment custodian for many years, giving me a wealth of practical experience looking after the land through all seasons.
So after recently retiring from a fulfilling 28-year career as an aircraft engineer, I decided to turn my lifelong love for gardening into a profession, and Pickwick Garden Services was born. I am a qualified member of The Gardener’s Guild, currently holding an RHS Level 2 qualification and studying at Lackham College.
My passion lies in transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, thriving sanctuaries that support our wellbeing and allow us to enjoy spending time in nature. I am delighted to now be helping others achieve this with their gardens through Pickwick Garden Services.

When it comes to gardening, I adopt a caring, holistic, and nurturing approach. I treat every garden with the utmost care and respect, considering its entire ecosystem.
Using gentle methods that work with nature rather than against it, I focus on nurturing plants and soil for long-term health. I avoid using any pesticides or harmful chemicals, helping to maintain a natural balance.
Over many years of gardening, I have developed a true understanding of how best to enable a garden to thrive. Applying my knowledge of complimentary and sequential planting, I ensure plants are in the optimal location for growth, so that you can enjoy your garden all year round.
My services are truly tailored to you. I take the time to understand what you like about your garden and what you don’t, how you envision it and how you want it to feel. Then I help bring your vision to life, transforming your garden from its original state to a sanctuary you can enjoy.
I work with you to ensure you receive the level of support you need to enjoy your garden to the fullest. If you love gardening but would like help with certain tasks, I can assist with those elements and leave the rest to you. If, on the other hand, you avoid gardening or lack the time for it and would prefer to outsource the whole lot, I can help there too!
I am happy to work in any size garden and believe even the smallest outdoor space can look and feel amazing when cared for well. I can advise on what maintenance needs doing when and can provide ongoing support with maintaining your garden if desired.
